Bathurst golf vets results for Monday, May 20

Hi everyone,

A large group of Bathurst vets went to Wentworth to play with the Central West vets, so we had a small field of 21 players on the comp today.

Nevertheless, you still had to bring your A grade game to win the comp and that is what Eric Denholm and Hal Rikard-Bell did when they equally had excellent scores of 39 points that required a countback to determine the winner.

Hal started like a house on fire with an excellent score of 22 points on the front nine but slowed down on the back nine for 17 points. Eric had a solid start with 18 points on the front nine and followed it with 21 points on the back nine. Eric’s was given first place with a better score on the back nine.

The Ball sweep went down to 34 points. The nearest to the pin winners were Gary Pomeroy on the 4th, Danny Gooley on the 8th, Russell McCarthy on the 13th and Petere Heffernan on the 16th.

Next Bathurst vets’ game will be on Monday May 27

Next Central West vets’ game will be at Canowindra on Monday May 27.

Canowindra is a walk up start so get there between 8:00 and 9:00 to get a game.
