Bathurst Golf Vets report for January 15

Hi everyone,

The first game of vets’ golf for 2024 kicked off at Bathurst golf club with a very good field of 42 Bathurst and Lithgow vets playing a game on a very pleasant summer day. A good change from the rain we had last week.

Game results.

Bruce Walker came home with a wet sail when he scored 11 points in his last three holes to win the comp with a total of 39 points. Second on the day was Glenn Campbell from Lithgow with 38 points.

Arthur Clancy played very solid golf to get third place with 37 points and Russell McCarthy and Brett Corby rounded off the vouchers winners when they both had 35 points.

The ball sweep went down to 29 points but unfortunately, I cannot tell you the nearest to the pin winners because the last group didn’t bring the markers in. I will pick them up tomorrow and write the names down on the result sheet.
