Bathurst Golf Vets report for game played December 9
Hi everyone
Some housekeeping to start with.
The vets’ game next week will include a visit from the Central West Vets. The cost for the game will be $30 which will include a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit on arrival and a light lunch at the end of the game. Trophies for the day will be hams so if you have a good score stay around for presentation so that you can take it home with you. If you are not there it will be given to someone else.
Also, the annual Bathurst Vets membership fee for 2025 of $20 will be due on the day. The membership allows you play every Monday in what a considered to be the best comp in the club. It also gives you access to all comps organised by the Central West vets and the NSW Veterans Golf Ass. which means that you will be able to play in any vets’ competitions organised by clubs associated with NSW vets.
On to golf results.
Peter Warren was the winner of today’s comp and the $30 Proshop voucher with a score of 36 points. Second on a countback with 36 points was Don Hinks who will also receive a $30 Proshop voucher.
There was a three-way countback to decide 3rd, 4th and 5th place when Wendy Smith, Neil Larcombe and Martin Meredith all returned scores of 36. The computer done the countbacks and decided that Wendy was 3rd, Neil was 4th and Martin was 5th.
The ball sweep went down to 25 points and the nearest to the pin winners were Bill Lambert on the 4th and 16th, Col Jamieson on the 8th and Neil Larcombe on the 13th.
Full results.
As mentioned earlier next Bathurst and Central West vets’ game will be at Bathurst on Monday December 16. There are not many places available so get in early if you want a game.
Good golfing everyone
