Bathurst Golf Vets results for Monday, March 3
Hi everyone,
The full field sign had to be put out today when 53 vet golfers showed up for a game of golf this morning. The word must be getting out that Bathurst golf club has a very good vets golf comp on Mondays.
I have been playing vets golf at Bathurst for many years and today was the biggest field that I can remember. Keep coming and enjoy Monday’s vets’ golf, is a great game.
On to golf results
We had a big field of local vets’, but it was David Dowler a visitor to the club who took home the winner’s voucher with a fantastic score of 41 points. David had a dream start with 23 points on the front nine and a solid 18 points on the back nine to consolidate his round.
Second on the day was Reg Boyd from Lithgow with a good score of 36 points.
Local players filled in the minor places with Martin Everett getting third place, Richard Ellis got fourth and Peter Heffernan got fifth place. All had scores of 35 points and picked up a $20 voucher each for their effort.
Another player with 35 points was Jon Manton, a poor back nine cost him a voucher and he had to settle for a ball on the ball sweep
The ball sweep went down to 32 points and the nearest to the pin winners were David Gates on the 4th, David Galvin on the 8th, Richard Ellis on the 13th and David Dowler on the 16th.
