Bathurst golf vets comp results for Monday August 21

Hi everyone,

A smallish field of 20 Bathurst vet golfers took part in Monday’s game of vets golf. A very pleasant winter’s day encouraged a large number of Bathurst vets to travel to Oberon to take part in the Central West vet round held there.

The small number of players didn’t hamper the quality of the golf with Graham Tyson needing 38 points to be declared the winner on the day. Graham started off slowly with 17 points on the first nine but came home with a wet sail for 21 points that included a birdie on the 12 and three more 3 pointers to finish off the round.

Second place in today’s comp was Raymond Dreves with a very solid round of 35 points.

The ball sweep went down to 30 points with lucky Peter Heffernan getting the last walk on a countback. Nearest to the pin went to Peter Chaffey on the 4th and 8th, Andrew Stapleton on the 13th and Neil Larcombe on the 16th.

Next round of Central West Vets golf will be at Canowindra on Monday August 28.
It will be a walk up start so get there between 8:00 and 9:00am to get a game. You can also call the club on 6344 1342 to book a cart if you need one.
