Bathurst Golf vets’ results for Monday, January 20
Hi everyone
Another good field of 32 players played on Monday’s Bathurst vets’ golf competition.
Best on the day was Paull Stirling with a very good score of 39 points. Paul played steady golf on the front nine to score 18 points and he really turned on the afterburners on the back nine for 21 points. He may still go home lamenting the double bogies he had on the last two holes.
Second was Dick O’Donnell with 38 points. Dick had a very slow start with only 10 points on the first seven holes but a birdie on the 8th got him on his way to an excellent 28 points in the next 11 holes.
Third was the very consistent Brian Little with 16 points on the first nine followed by 20 points on the back nine for a total of 36 points.
There was a three-way count back for fourth place when Alex Blackett, Paul Rosconi and Dean Fidirikkos all had 35 points. When the dust settled, the computer gave Alex fourth place because of a better score on the last six holes.
The ball sweep went down to 32 points. Don’t forget that vouchers winners also get a ball on the ball sweep.
Nearest to the pin winners were Bill Lambert on the 4th, Dick O’Donnell on the 8th, Paul Stirling on the 13th and Trevor Kingham on the 16th.
