Bathurst Golf Vets report for Monday, September 18

Hi everyone,

There is a saying that goes “The show is never over until the fat lady comes out to sing” in vets we will have to change that to “The comp is never over until the last group comes in” and so it was today.

James Johnson playing in the first group had an excellent score of 40 points and was the club house leader until he was knock off the perch by the last group when Simon Dundon and David Gates both returned scores of 40 points. A count back was required to determine the winning places and Simon with 23 points on the back nine was declared the winner from James (22 points) and David had to settle for third (21points)

Graeme Jones was fourth with39 points.

The ball sweep went down to 33 points and the nearest to the pin winners were Bill Dickie on the 4th, Graham Tyson on the 8th, Simon Dundon on the 13th and Alex Blackett on the 16th.
