Bathurst vets golf results for Monday May 13 

Hi everyone,

It was hard going on the golf course today. The recent wet weather provided no run on the fairways and some difficult pin placements made good scores hard to come by with not one player playing to their handicap or better. Using the lift-clean-and-replace rule made little difference. Preferred lies would have made the game far more enjoyable.

On to results.

Best on the day on a countback was Bill Lambert with 35 points. Second with the same score was Bob Lockhart. There was another countback to decide third and fourth place when Al Hammond and Simon Dundon both scored 33 points. Al got third with a better back nine.

The ball sweep went down to 29 points on a countback and the nearest to the pin winners were Doug Collins on the 4th, Martin Everet on the 8th, Ted Dell all the way from Blayney on the 13th and Bobbie Lockhart on the 16th. Bob was the only one to hit the green.

The Dubbo Vets Open will be on Friday May 17 you will need to call the Dubbo golf club to get your name down. Don’t forget that it is a shotgun start at 8:30am

Next game of Central West vets will be at Wentworth on Monday, May 20. You will need to call the proshop on 02 6361 4505 to book a starting time and cart if required.

Bathurst vets will be on as usual next Monday.
