Bathurst Golf vets report for Monday August 12

Hi everyone,

It was winter, it was cold, it was wet, but it didn’t have any effect on the quality of the golf played by 22 very hardy Bathurst vets’ golfers who were able to set the course of fire with some very extraordinary golf.

The best score of the day was played by Paul Rosconi who took out first place with 40 points.
Paul had a steady start of 18 points on the front nine followed by 22 points on the back nine taking a liking to the par threes with a birdie on the 13th and a par on the 16th.

Doug Collins had an excellent round of 37 points with 23 points on the front nine, but a not so good back nine of 14-points cost him second place with Neville McMichael also having an excellent round of 37 points and but a better back nine of 18 points to take out the voucher on a countback.

The Ball sweep went down to 34 points and the nearest to the pin winners were Doug Collins on the 4th, Bill Dickie on the 8th, Paul Rosconi on the 13th and Richard Ellis on the 16th.

Next game of Central West vets will be at Wentworth on Monday, August 26.

You will need to call the Proshop on 6361 4505 to book a starting time and a cart if you need one.

It will be a good opportunity to see the brand-new club house and enjoy a game of vet’s golf.

Until then may the Gods of golf be kind to you.
