Bathurst Golf Vets results for game played Monday, January 13

Hi everyone,

A good field of 27 Bathurst veteran golfers played a round of vets’ golf on Monday, January 13. It was a perfect day for golf with clear blue sky and very little win to be concerned about.

Best on the day was Donald Hinks with a very impressive 39 points. Don had a slow start with only 16 points on the front nine, but he came gone with an excellent 23 points.

Not far behind was Jon Manton who took out second place with 38 points. As it was the case with Don, Jon had a slow start on the front nine with 17 points, but he made up good ground on the back nine scoring 21 points.

Russ and Deidre McCarthy shared third and fourth place with 36 and 35 points respectively. Deidre may lament that she only scored 2 points on the last three holes allowing Russell to have the bragging rights at home.

The ball sweep went down to 30 points and the Nearest to the Pin winners were Danny Gooley on the 4th, Hal Rikard-Bell on the 8th, Graham Lee on the 13th and Deidre McCarthy on the 16th.

Next game of Bathurst vets golf will be at Bathurst Monday January 20

Next game of Central West vets will be at Wellington on Monday, January 20.

As usual you will have to call Mary on 0407 458 413 to book a starting time. Also, if you need a cart you will need to pay for it, $35 or $17.50 if you are sharing, with cash or by card + surcharge.
