Hi everyone,

A very good field of 36 Bathurst vets enjoyed playing our usual Monday vets’ competition on a glorious spring day.

The winner on day was Garry Giddings with an excellent score of 42 points. His marker must have got tired on writing 3s on Garry’s card. He had four 3 pointers on the first nine followed by six more on the back nine. A truly excellent round.

Not far behind Garry was Russell McCarthy who got second place with 39 points. Russell started well on the first nine with 21 points and followed it up with a solid 18 points on the back  nine.

Brett Corby was third with 37 points and Phill Pittaway claim fourth spot with 36 points on a count back from Garry Pomeroy who may rue the two misses he had on the back nine.

The ball sweep went down to 31 points and the nearest to the pin winners were; Peiter Buining on the 4th, Garry Pomeroy on the 8th, David Gates on the 13th and Stephen Thompson on the 16th.

Next round of Central West vets’ golf will be at Molong on Monday October 16.

It is a walk up start so get there between 8:00 and 9:00am to get a game.
