James Johnson played an excellent game for 40 points.

Bathurst Golf vets report for Monday September 9

Hi everyone,

Please note that there will be no local vets, game at Bathurst next week due to the coring of the greens.

However, I am trying to organise a game at Lithgow, if successful, I will send you an email later in the week to let you know times and cost.

On to today’s golf

We vets may be old and don’t hit the ball as far as the young ones but give us a bit of run of the fairways and we can match it with anyone as the scores demonstrated today. If you scored 40 points you will more than likely think that you will win a voucher but not today. James Johnson played a great game to get 40 points, but all he is getting is a ball on the ball sweep.

The winners were, Murray Jewkes with an excellent 44 points to take out 1st place, Paul Stirling was second with 42 points and Paul Rosconi  and Alex Smith took out third and fourth place respectively with 40 points. James missed out on a countback.

The ball sweep went down to 36 points and the nearest to the pin winners were Neil Larcombe on the 4th, Geoff Coleman on the 8th, Paul Stirling on the 13th and Peter Warren on the 16th.

Full ball sweep and nearest to the pin.

The next game of Central West vets will be at Bathurst on September 23.

It will be a big day so get your name down early to get your preferred time.

As mentioned earlier keep an eye on your emails later in the week to see if Lithgow is available.

Good golfing everyone
