Alex Blackett ready to take on the wind or whatever Bathurst weather will throw at him

Bathurst Golf Vets report for game played September 2

Hi everyone,

It might have been the second day of spring, but the weather didn’t do us any favours with the strongest wind we have experience for some time. However, Bathurst vets are a very hardy lot and 35 of them fronted up to our usual game of Monday’s vets golf. We also had visitors from Oberon, Lithgow, and Howlong.

Golf results.

Best in managing the wind today was Kevin Arrow who took out first place with and excellent 35 points. Second on a countback was Ted Healey from the Lithgow golf club, on a count from Alex Blackett with both returning cards of 34 points. The fourth-place voucher went to Jeffery Russell, another visitor from Lithgow, with a score of 33 points.

The ball sweep went down to 29 points and the nearest to the pin winners were Darren Healey on the 4th, Ted Healey on the 8th, Eric Denholm on the 13th, and Graham Tyson on the 16th.

The next Central West vets’ game will be at Molong on September 9.

Molong is a walk up start so get there between 8:00 and 9:00 to get a game.

Take the challenge and play on one of the best sand green courses on the Central West.

Good golfing everyone
